The lokai bracelet was created by Steven Izen after he learned that his grandfather had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. He created the black bead on the bracelet to represent this low point in his life and the white bracelet to represent the joy and gratitude he felt when he realized how lucky he was to be where he was in his life.

The name lokai was inspired by the Hawaiian word “lohaki” which means unity, harmony and balance. Lokai is an attempt to find mental balance.

The black bead represents hope. It is infused with mud from the dead sea, the lowest point on earth. It exemplifies the strenuous experiences that life provides. “Even through life’s lowest moments, stay hopeful”.

The white bead represents the greatest moments in life. It is injected with water from Mount Everest, the highest point on earth. “Stay Humble”.

The clear beads represent everyone’s individual story. They represent each moment in one’s life. The clear beads suggest that in both happy and sad times, to keep one’s mind clear.

You can purchase the Lokai Bracelet at mylokai.com for $18.00 each, plus $5.00 for shipping. The grand total is $23.00.
