A mullet is a ‘80s hairstyle that involves nearly shaving the sides of your heads and keeping it long on top. The saying business in the front, party in the back, comes from the mullet hairstyle.

While business may be in the front, this hairstyle means anything but business. Many different high school boys get this haircut to seem like a “country boy”.

“I got a mullet because it goes well with curly hair, and I wanted to try it out. I was attracted to it because it was more of a country cut, and it was something new that I could try,” said Sawyer Lisk, sophomore.

The mullet has made its way back more as a trend than a hairstyle. Many people have gotten mullets as a challenge or trend.

“I got the mullet because our XC team made it to states and what attracted me to the style was Morgan wallens mullet,” said Sam Brown, junior.

The 80s hairstyle has made a comeback with teen boys everywhere. Why the hairstyle has made a comeback, nobody knows, but it will forever be an “iconic” look.
