What is College Application Week?

College Application Week is when seniors in high school can submit college applications.

According to the College Foundation of North Carolina, “…The event helps support high school seniors in completing three important college enrollment steps: residency, FAFSA, and applications.”

When does it take place?

It takes place this week (October 16 – 20) which is when colleges change their fees, and make college applications with no fee for students.

This could aid students as they apply to additional colleges they haven’t already applied to.

It is highly recommended that seniors start their applications ahead of time before college next week starts.

Additional Info

“Students should make a CFNC account if they have not already or login to the account they already have,” said Mr. Eric Greene, Dean of Students, via email.

“They should then look at the list of schools that [are] free for next week.  They should then go ahead and start the application process,” said Greene.

If seniors need any help, they can go to CFNC  for more information as well as talk to their guidance counselors or email Mr. Greene (egreene@wcpss.net).
