Christmas is a popular religious holiday celebrated worldwide. It is celebrated on the 25th of December, but the whole month of December is spent preparing for the holiday.
At many stores throughout Raleigh, Christmas items and decorations have already been displayed. Common stores like Target have tons of Christmas items, such as lights, gifts, trees, ornaments, and more. Crabtree Valley Mall has already displayed their annual Christmas decorations.
Although Christmas is a very special holiday, so is Thanksgiving. It is a great time to give thanks and spend time with family and friends.
Some Leesville students believe it is never too early to prepare for and celebrate Christmas. Other students say Thanksgiving is underrated and needs more appreciation.
Sophia Beruk, senior, says it is never too early to celebrate. “I like Thanksgiving, but as soon as Halloween is over, I just want it to be Christmas. Christmas is just a more fun holiday and more exciting thing to look forward to especially compared to Thanksgiving,” said Beruk.
Meanwhile, Kara Horner, sophomore, thinks otherwise. “I love Christmas but Thanksgiving is so underrated. It’s so fun to spend time with my family that I haven’t seen in a while cause they live too far. Thanksgiving deserves more love,” said Horner.
There are many opinions on if Christmas can be celebrated too early, however, most people believe it is never too early to celebrate.
