As the fall season approaches, many seasonal treats come with it, one being the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte. A nostalgic drink, bringing feelings of fall, has stirred up a great deal of opinions.

Many people who like the latte enjoy the pumpkin and cinnamon element. “It has a more enjoyable flavor than normal coffee,” said Ava Forrest via text, a sophomore at Leesville Road High school.

“If autumn had a flavor it would taste like pumpkin spice,” said Kate Flagg via text, also a Leesville sophomore, who enjoys the synchronous feeling of fall that the drink brings.

In a conflicting opinion, many people feel the latte is gross or overrated. “It lacks flavor and is plain out disgusting” said Sydney Irby via facetime, a sophomore at Leesville.

A customer can order the drink hot or cold, so maybe the debate is just based on preference. “The pumpkin flavor is not awful, but the combination with the hot drink is not good,” said Maggie Akers via text, a sophomore at Leesville.

In the end, it’s all about personal taste. The Pumpkin Spice Latte usually stays around through November, giving one plenty of time to try it for themselves.
