On Wednesday, May 23, Leesville’s yearbook staff distributed the eleventh issue of The Menagerie: A matter of Pride.
Students picked up their yearbooks from the auxiliary game from the smiling yearbook staff.
“We have a great time distributing yearbooks,” said Abby Davis, junior yearbook staff member. “We all work together, and we do a big cheer before we start.”
Davis mentioned that the staff also saw the yearbook for the first time on May 23. She claimed that they all sat in a big circle and read the yearbook together before the distribution began.
Since the yearbook is very popular at Leesville, the gym greeted a plethora of students on distribution day. Mallory Boris, junior, was very excited to flip through the book of memories: “I’m a cheerleader, so I knew I’d be in it and the pictures would be fun to look at. The yearbook is a great way to remember high school.”
Underclassmen were also excited to collect their purchase. “I wanted to see everyone’s faces and have memories,” said Conner Eller, freshman yearbook buyer.
The yearbook has received rave reviews thus far and provides an excellent documentation of 2012.
Katy has been on staff since her sophomore year, starting as a staff writer. With hard work and diligence, she earned a junior editor position and ultimately became Editor-in-Chief her senior year. She will pursue a degree in journalism in college.
