Every good recipe starts with a trip through your pantry or the supermarket-- for most it is a combination of both. Make sure you have all the ingredients on the list before you start cooking.

Begin preparing the ingredients to add to the wrap. Wash and then chop your vegetables into roughly one inch by ¼ inch slices. Shred the chicken into strips; to make the preparations take less time, use leftover chicken from other meals. The chicken can be baked, grilled, or even a rotisserie, and it does not need to be warmed up ahead of time since the wrap is served cold. In this step, you should also cut up the cheese into pieces that are about the same size as your vegetables and mince your basil. For the wrap, dried basil is not a good option as it will not have the strong flavor you need, so make sure you use fresh instead.

To put together your wrap, smear your tortilla with any kind of hummus; if your humus has flavoring in the center of the container, avoid using that part and take the plain part instead. Take you tomato, cucumber, cheese, and chicken and add it to the center of the tortilla. Then garnish with the basal and a good amount of bean sprouts. Lemon juice on top of the mix will add some acidic flavor.

Close the tortilla and enjoy your fresh lunch!
