Supernatural is a fictional horror and drama show that has just been picked up again by the CW Network for an eleventh season. The show began in 2005 and was projected to end after five seasons. However, ten seasons later, it does not seem as though it will be ending soon.

The show returned on Tuesday, Jan 20 with its mid-season premiere. Many people loved the episode, while others are simply waiting for the show to die off.

During the early seasons, the show was less drama and more horror. It followed Sam and Dean Winchester,  played by Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, respectively, as the two brothers searched for their dad hunting monsters and demons along the way.

As the show progressed, it developed a more complex storyline. The brothers continued to face hardships and obstacles that seemed impossible to overcome. In the season five finale, the show had clearly reached a stopping point: All of the characters’ storylines came to an end.

However, the show had been doing well, so why stop at season five?

An additional five seasons later, the show is still managing to create new storylines to keep the show running. From new heroes to new villains, Supernatural usually does a good job of keeping the plot moving. That does not, however, mean that all of the plots are good and should last as long as they did. For example, the show decided to introduce great storylines, but make them end after a couple of episodes. Meanwhile, the lesser quality storyline managed to last the entirety of season seven.

Supernatural is extremely popular on tumblr where countless amounts of people post images, gifs, videos and more from the show. Some people are ecstatic to have another season to look forward to. Others, however, are only continuing to watch the show because they want to see how the it ends after they have been watching it for years.

One blogger even posted a quote which said that Supernatural would be renewed for season 11 followed by a picture of Bo Burnham singing the song lyrics “But we’ll stop beating this dead horse when it stops spitting out money.”

There is no doubt that Supernatural started out as a fantastic show with great storylines. However, after ten years of airtime, many of its viewers are waiting for the show to die off, much like its characters.
