Principal Jacobs has been the principal of Leesville Road High School since 2023. Recently, she accepted a new position as the Southern Area Superintendent, and she will be leaving on October 2.

 

Principal Jacobs said, “For my new position, I will be supporting the principals of 26 different schools. I lead those principles, so they can lead their schools.”

 

Principal Jacobs is sad to be leaving but hopeful for Leesville’s future. She has high hopes for what’s to come for Leesville.

 

“I hope that Leesville continues to excel academically, and that kids continue to have opportunities for learning so they can go on to whatever they desire to do next… I hope that the culture remains the same; positive and accepting of diversity,” said Principal Jacobs.

 

She continues to explain how she hopes Leesville continues to be perceived.

 

“I want Leesville to not only be called a great school, but it continues to show that it is a great school… I want everyone to know Leesville is great because of their amazing academics, because of their good behavior, and because of all the great things it has to offer for students to participate in,” said Principal Jacobs.

 

Many members of the staff are sad to be losing such an amazing Principal.

 

Mrs. Hardy, math teacher, said, “Working with her has been amazing. We will be so sad she’s leaving, but we are so proud of her.”

 

“She is super professional and very personable, and she makes an effort to know her faculty, and that means a lot from a boss,” said Mr. Shingler, art teacher.
