On Friday, September 5, picture day for Leesville’s 26-27 school year took place. Pictures were taken in the gym.
Keegan Cook, sophomore, said, ¨when I found out earlier today picture day was on friday, I was not prepared. I was shocked and overwhelmed because I didn’t expect it to be so soon.¨
Through the panic of picture day, some students are struggling with what to wear. Rodah Momanyi, junior, said, ¨Picture day is in a couple of days, and I actually have no idea what to wear. I’m definitely stressing over it. I’m gonna wake up earlier and hope for the best. It’s a bit stressful.”
Stacy Dickens, freshman, said, “I just found out ten minutes ago picture day was friday and I am not prepared. My freshman year photo needs to be better than last year.”
To prepare for the photo taking, Momanyi said, “It might be embarrassing, but I practice my smile in the mirror. I have to not repeat what happened last year with my photo. It was terrible.”
Changing his perspective on the photos, Dickens said, “I have some confidence my photo this year will be better than my photo last year. Or at least I hope it will be.”
Cook with a similar view said, “Honestly my photo last year wasn’t horrible, but I want it to be better, and it definitely could be better. I’ll try to prepare better in the morning this year.”
Students with different views about photo taking, positive or negative, are all preparing for this year’s picture day.
