Is the Arby’s hate train valid?

Recently, if you’ve been on social media — especially TikTok — you’ve definitely seen the Arby’s hate train. On TikTok, the major fast-food franchise Arby’s has been associated with Rod Wave, with the classic meat mountain sandwich as the start of it all. But is Arby’s really that bad after all?

Recently, my mom and I had the bright idea to try Arby’s for the first time to see if the slander is really valid or not. As my mom and I pulled into the restaurant, it was empty. No cars in the drive-through or parking lot either. As we walked inside the restaurant to grab our pickup order, we felt a deep sense of ominousness. As soon as we got back into the car, we opened the bag to finally see what this hate train is about.

I opened the wrapper to my burger and took a bite, and as soon as I did, I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn’t terrible. The burger tasted like an average burger you would buy at any other fast-food restaurant. My mom then took a bite out of her chicken sandwich, and she said, it wasn’t bad either.

After we tried our sandwiches, we then tried out the potato cakes, which just looked pretty much like a McDonald’s hash brown, and they actually tasted really good.

Lastly, my mom and I tried our dessert, which was the peach cobbler rolls. As soon as I looked at them, I knew it was going to be delicious. Trying that peach cobbler roll was the best choice I made that day because it was absolutely delicious. It was warm with a great peachy, sugary flavor.

Overall, seeing the Arby’s slander and hate train, I think it’s completely invalid. While I probably won’t be going again soon since it’s a pretty far drive, I’m definitely not opposed to eating it again. It just tasted like the average fast-food meal you could get anywhere else.
