It has been a constant debate for as long as time what time of year is the best for a birthday. Everyone believes that their birthday is the best, but what really is the best birthday?

Some students’ birthdays fall during spring break. 

“My birthday is at the end of March, and I like it because it’s the beginning of spring, and it usually is during spring break, so I get to go on vacation with my family and enjoy my break,” said Bailey Whitfield, senior. 

Other students have birthdays that fall on the same day as a holiday and also during the school year. 

Hayden Perry, senior, said, “I love my birthday because it’s the same day as Cinco de Mayo, so I get to eat good Mexican food. But my birthday is also normally during school, and the only downside to that is it’s during AP exams.”

People with summer birthdays enjoy not having to worry about going to school. 

“I like my birthday being in June because I have the whole day to myself, and I don’t have to go to school… sometimes I get to go on vacation for my birthday,” said Nate Lowery, senior. 

We have no control over when we are born, but all birthdays are unique and special, regardless of the time of year.
