All LRHS juniors are required to take the digital ACT on Thursday, March 5 at 7:25am.
All juniors need to check their email for an email from Ms. Arwood with their room number assignment and other important information.
Juniors, if you need a calculator, photo I.D., or a school issued chromebook, fill out the following form: ACT Request Form
Juniors should have received a piece of paper in advisory with instructions on how to set up their online account.
While these standardized tests may seem pointless, they can be pivotal for their future and help juniors achieve their goals.
Naomi Lehavot, senior, said, “Your score can open a lot of doors for you that you might not be thinking about in the moment. A lot of scholarships will automatically consider your test scores, especially your ACT, and the better you do, the more money you can get, and the more likely you are to get into colleges.”
There are ways to help prepare for the ACT so juniors feel more prepared and confident.
Lehavot said, “Don’t put too much pressure on yourself, but take it seriously and really think about the impact that it’s gonna have on you, because that score can actually be life changing, depending on what you get. And I would also say just study, watch YouTube videos, study with your friends, do practice, test, lots of practice tests, so you know what to expect.”
Juniors if you have any questions regarding the ACT, please email Ms. Arwood: karwood@wcpss.net
