Dress to Impress Review

Dress to Impress is a game on an app called Roblox.

I had heard about Dress to Impress from a couple different people throughout the years but I had never given into the propaganda to play. Then my friend, Gabby, continuously played it at my house for most of the snow days. I began to play it with her and help her dress up the characters. I loved the rush of being on a time limit, while still getting to dress up your character in virtually anything your heart desires.

The age range of people who play Dress to Impress is pretty wide. I have met people as young as 9 and as old as 18 which just shows the amount of different people who also enjoy this game. There is a 13 year age requirement to be able to download the app roblox, but many people simply lie about their age if they are not 13 years old yet.

The game Dress to Impress consists of giving you a bare character that you can change to a girl or a boy, and fully dress up. You have full creative liberty on how you want to do your character’s hair and makeup. There is a six minute timer for how long you have to dress up your character following a specific theme.

Once your character is dressed up and the timer runs out, you then vote on others characters on a scale of one to five stars.Your character will get voted on once she or he walks down the given runway. You can’t control other character’s poses, but you can choose from a pretty wide selection of poses once your character hits the runway.

Once all the votes are in, and based on your final placement, you get paid fake money for each round you play. The money you receive can be used to buy new outfits, accessories, hair and makeup. I am very competitive, so I put my all into the outfits I make because I want the money and the joy of being able to say I got first place.

In Dress to Impress, there are holiday and weekly sales that you can buy from. You can receive weekly awards depending on how much you play. You have the option to become a VIP member but to be one, you must pay real money which you put into roblox where it is transformed into “Robux”.

The VIP members have pretty much everything you could possibly want within the game. They have unlimited access to outfits, accessories, makeup, and hair.

You have the option to be gifted VIP membership by another person that has it, or you can buy it for a month or unlimited time. The permanent membership costs 799 robux ($9.99). The monthly option is a range of around 299 to 339 robux ($2.99 and $4.99). Personally, I would like the VIP membership but I don’t want to pay real money for some extra outfits on a video game.

There is a chat on the side where some people use to explain their outfits if they aren’t very obvious. The chat is censored, so you can type only child appropriate language. It’s fun to see what other people say once they’ve gone down the runway, or if they are judging your outfit.

You can get banned on Dress to Impress if you are consistently inappropriate in the chat. You get a few warnings before you are fully banned, and others can report you for bad behavior as well. I get a lot of enjoyment from rage baiting some of the other players and seeing them get mad that they can’t say anything bad or they could risk getting banned. Some people say something bad in the chat and then quickly leave the game, so they don’t get in trouble.

I am more than happy to become another happy player for the foreseeable future.
