Leesville Exam Schedule and Policy

This year, exams for the end of semester one will take place January 16 through January 23. These final exams count as 20% of a student’s overall grade. There is a policy where students may be exempt from the if they meet EACH OF the following requirements:

  • A projected final grade of B (an 80) or higher in the course
  • 10 or fewer absences in the course (Excused and unexcused absences count equally)
  • For grades 9–11, 10 or fewer tardies in the course

Students who meet the exemption criteria but wish to possibly improve their grade still are allowed to opt to take the final exam. In this case, the exam will count for 20% of the grade in the course only if the overall grade is improved.

Students who are taking an EOC or CTE post assessment are not exempt from the exam even if they meet all the requirements. The EOC classes include; Math 1 and Math 1B, Biology, English 2, and Math 3. The classes with CTE state assessments are Apparel and Textile Production II, Business Essentials, Child Development, Food and Nutrition I, Food and Nutrition II, Foundations of Health Science, Health Science I, Interior Design Fundamentals, and Project Management I.

English 2, Math 1, Math 3, Biology EOC will take place on Friday, January 16. First and second period exams will be on Tuesday, January 20. Third and fourth period exams will fall on Wednesday, January 21. Makeup exam days will be Thursday, January 22 and Friday, January 23.
