How is Leeville Football Pumped up for Round 1 of Playoffs?

The Leesville Football Team has made it to the first round of the playoffs with a 7-3 record.

This Friday — November 10, 2025 — Leesville plays against Broughton for the second week in a row.

During the season, Broughton Football’s momentum from a 41 point win against Athens Drive was crushed by Leesville. They suffered a loss of 14-7 to the Pride on October 24, 2025.

The Leesville Pride spirit will be as energized as ever as the cheerleaders and people in the stands hype up their football team.

While  shouting, cheering and encouraging the football team, Pride Football will be huddled up on the sidelines, motivating each other to play their best.

Marcus Ormond, senior and  starting defensive line, is excited to motivate his teammates as he plays by their side on Friday.

Ormond says, “I’m excited to work together as a team and get the job done.”

The Leesville Varsity Cheer Team will be ready to cheer on the football team from the sidelines, starting before kickoff, and throughout the whole game.

Through cheers, stunts, jumps, and tumbling, they will encourage the players on the field, and get those in the stands excited.

Maizy Bass, junior on the Cheer Team, is excited to use her loud voice and bring energy to the atmosphere.

Bass said, “I’m going to cheer as loud as I possibly can so the team will win against Broughton.”

In the stands watching the exciting game, the Loonieville Student Section is full of energetic students who are showing their school spirit and encouraging their players.

Sawyer Lisk, senior, is one of the loudest in the stands, and loves getting those around him loud too.

Lisk says, “I will make sure everyone around me is getting hype for the cheers, and making some noise for our team.”

Without that encouragement from Leesville Cheerleaders and the Loonieville Student Section, the Leesville Football team wouldn’t be as motivated as they are.

The uplifting excitement the Leesville community has to offer is what makes Leesville not just a school but a home.

Leesville Road High School is full of school spirit this week as they prepare to win against Broughton, and make it through the first round of playoffs.
