On October 30, Leesville’s International Thespian Society is holding its biannual Haunted House. The Haunted House was previously held every year, but the Troupe decided to mix things up and offer a dessert theater event on alternating years.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door. For students volunteering at the Hall-O-ween event, however, tickets are only $5.

The Haunted House Tour Guides take groups throughout the Arts Department, with a few decorative changes. The Arts hallway will be decorated for a birthday party, as the haunted house has a birthday-gone-wrong theme, filled with clowns, dolls, and petrified would-be-partiers.

Nina Sugiyama-Allen–senior and ITS Troupe President–said, “I’m really excited to finally do it legitimately instead of just doing practice runs; planning it is hard, but seeing it all come together is worth it. What makes it even better is seeing people you know going through and getting to scare your friends.”

The Haunted House is entirely student-led and directed. Hannah Allen, senior, is in charge of the event and worked with all the groups to build an interwoven story.  Allen said, “Everyone has worked so hard, and we get to have fun with it now. It’s been difficult, but it’s also been really fun,”.

Parker Merrit, sophomore, said, “I’m really excited to scare my friends and have fun with everyone in ITS.”

All proceeds will go to Leesville’s ITS to fund further events and activities. Make sure to stop by the Haunted House after you visit the Hall-O-ween event.
