On Friday, October 10, 2025, Leesville’s 2025 Homecoming Court walked at halftime of the LRHS football game against Enloe.
All the students of Leesville voted for one senior guy and one senior girl from the homecoming court for the Homecoming King and Queen. This year, Benjamin Cooper and Sophia Winslow are the 2025 Homecoming King and Queen.
Ben Cooper
Hidden among the many students in the LRHS band is the 2025 Homecoming King, Ben Cooper.
“I am involved in band, and then a few honors societies, and I’m also a part of the youth for shelter non-profit,” said Cooper.
Cooper has been here at Leesville for all of high school, but this is his first year on Homecoming Court.
“[Homecoming Court] means showing school spirit, being proud of my school, and showing that I’m involved in all kinds of different things,” said Cooper. Cooper’s excitement for being on Homecoming Court drew many people to vote for him.
Cooper received the 2025 Homecoming King with a face full of joy. Many people were also ecstatic over Cooper’s win, and many even missed the announcement of the Queen when cheering.
“I could tell that he was pretty excited as well. His mom was really, really sweet. She immediately reacted really, really positively. And she was just so excited for Ben to have won,” said Georgie Brothers, senior.
Sophia Winslow
Among the many faces you see on the sidelines at football games, the class of 2026 homecoming queen is one of them.
Sophia Winslow is a member of the LRHS dance team and was voted as this year’s homecoming queen.
“I do dance in school. I do [dance] for a competition group. I’m in NHSDA (National Honors Society for Dance Art), NEHS (National English Honors Society), and I also have a part-time job,” said Winslow.
Winslow’s involvement in and out of school made her a prime pick for Homecoming Court. “I feel like it’s important that we see tons of aspects in the school and not just the same people in sports, but all extracurriculars represented,” said Winslow.
Winslow performed at the Pep Rally and game this year, but when halftime came, she was overjoyed to be named the LRHS 2025 Homecoming Queen.
“I was really excited. I’ve known her for about five years now, and her reaction is really amazing. She really didn’t think that she was going to win, so seeing her be able to have that moment was really special,” said Brothers.
The Homecoming Court consisted of all grades. Representing the freshman class, Whitman Short, Cohen Wagner, Madison McNeil, and Hanna Nguyen are representing them.
The sophomore class is being represented by Caroline Earnhardt, Clara Hook, Will Matthews, and Bradley Zuleba. Representing the junior class are Hudson Cresimore, Digvijay Mekala, Madison Watson, and Chloe Yates.
Representing the class of 2026 and up for Homecoming Queen and King were the following seniors: Hannah Allen, Sophia Schlocter, Ashley Stanziale, Caroline Scioli, Eva Wilson, Sophia WInslow, Cody Bullard, Andre Cherry, Benjamin Cooper, Ben Fields, Devin Goldston, and Breon McRae.
Both winners of the Homecoming Court are avid parts of the Leesville Road High School community. They have made lasting impacts as the homecoming King and Queen for the class of 2026. For in-depth coverage of LRHS Homecoming, check out the Homecoming page on the Mycenaean website.

It makes my day better when I’m listening to good music and drinking a nice coffee.
