On Friday, October 10, 2025, the Pride Varsity football team beat Enloe to win the 2025 Homecoming football game. The score at the end of the game was 40-13.
“I thought it was really good…we all together as a team played well,” said Hayden Erickson, senior. Erickson plays left tackle and is a team captain for the 2025 season.
The game started off strong for the Pride, with the team earning a touchdown on its first drive of the evening. Their second touchdown didn’t come until the second quarter, but it was an impressive long throw from Demacio Cueto, junior, to Devin Goldston, senior.
“We ran the ball pretty well, threw the ball pretty well, and had an all-around good game,” said Cody Bullard, senior. Bullard plays left guard for the team.
The Pride suffered a setback in the second quarter as Logan Kiser, senior, had to come out of the game with a broken humerus. The injury stalled the play for at least 10 minutes, but a last-minute touchdown to end quarter two rallied spirits again. The Pride then went on to score two more touchdowns in the second half of the game.
When it comes to game focus, the Homecoming game is a little challenging for the football team.
“There’s less focus on the game since there’s a lot of stuff going on during school and during halftime and stuff, so it kind of drew a little focus away,” said Erickson.
“Homecoming just makes everything a little more chaotic,” said Bullard.
Congrats to the Varsity Pride football team on another successful Homecoming game. Catch their next game on Friday, October 17, 2025, against Corinth Holders.

It makes my day better when I listen to a good playlist.
