Leesville Younglife is a community of LRHS students who come together to learn about and appreciate the Christian faith. College students lead the club, and they host engaging activities weekly–some focused on worship, and some just for fun.
“It’s a community of learning Christians who come together to learn about the gospel,” said Addy Marconi, senior. Marconi has been an active member of LRHS Younglife all four years of high school.
Leesville Younglife’s two main events are weekly meetings, called Club and Campaigners.
Campaigners, which is on Wednesdays, is akin to your typical Bible study. Members will meet at a designated house to read and study their Bibles together.
“We like to dive into the Bible and the word of God,” said Matthew Addonizio, senior. Addonizio has been an active member of LRHS Younglife for two years.
“It’s like a small group Bible study…boys and girls are separated,” said Marconi.
Club is a little bit different. The members do sing worship songs and pray, but then they’ll play games that don’t necessarily have to do with religion.
“You’re hanging out with a bunch of people doing a bunch of fun activities and stuff… afterwards we always go get food together,” said Addonizio.
“It’s like worship songs, regular songs, we play games and get to know people,” said Marconi.
Even though it centers around the Christian faith, anyone and everyone is welcome to join Younglife, regardless of religious beliefs.
“Even if you’re not Christian or don’t believe in God or stuff, it’s still fun to come…you meet a lot of new people and uplift each other,” said Addonizio.
Leesville Younglife is a faith-driven group of high school students, but they still make time to have fun.

It makes my day better when I listen to a good playlist.
