Spring sports at Leesville are beginning to schedule interest meetings for their respective sports. The Leesville women’s soccer interest meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 24. Interested athletes must report by 2:30 p.m. to room 240 (Coach Broer’s room) to attend the meeting.
Cooper Paiva leads the varsity team with assistance from Eric Broer, Avery Davis, and Anna Fish. Eric Broer also coaches the Junior Varsity team.
Last season, the team finished with a 15-5-2 record, and 9-1 in the conference. They also took home the Cap-6 4A Conference Champion title.
However, for the 2025-26 season Leesville will play in the new Cap 8A Conference.
Izzie Woodbury, senior winger, said, “Although playing new opponents can be tough, I’m excited to have some new competition this season.”
Leesville lost seven seniors last season, but many returning starters are coming back to the team.
Lucy Killian, senior defender, said, “I am so excited for senior season. The team has gotten so close, so I know it will be a lot of fun. I am also looking forward to team dinners and making so many new memories.”
