After a long school year filled with homework, tests, and projects, summer break is something all students look forward to. Leesville Road High School students finally had time to relax and do what they enjoy.
This summer, students spent their time in different ways—some went on trips, some worked, and some just stayed local, hanging out with friends.
For a few students, summer meant traveling and seeing new places.
One student, Harper Linticum, junior, spent her vacation on a cruise. “It was such a cool experience. I got to see new places, try different foods, and just enjoy being on the water,” Trips like these gave students a chance to get away from home and explore the world a little more.
Others used their summer to focus on work. “I was busy with my job all summer. It taught me a lot about responsibility, and I was able to save money for the school year,” said Tamea Mack, junior. For students like her, summer was less about relaxing and more about preparing for what’s ahead.
Not everyone traveled or worked, though. Many chose to stay home and enjoy their time with friends. “I spent most of my summer at home just hanging out with friends, and it was a lot of fun,” said Caysen Jude, freshman. Sometimes, the best summer memories come from the simple things.
No matter how they spent it, summer gave everyone a break from the school routine and a chance to make new memories.
