Four Year Lettermen – Class of 2021

“I like being a 4-year letterman because I have gotten to put time and dedication into something I love. Running is definitely a core memory from my high school experience. I get to see my best friends everyday.”

“Being a 4-year letterman helped to build my pride for Leesville and everyone who is connected to it. My favorite thing about tennis is the competitiveness of the sport and the range of emotions that comes with that.”

“Being a 4-year letterman was a great experience because as a freshman on varsity I could look up to the older girls, and when I became an upperclassman I could be an example to the younger girls. I love the communication and teamwork in playing volleyball.”

“I absolutely loved playing with all my teammates, and the coaches were amazing. These past two years we were able to repeat as conference champions. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.”

“Playing on the team for 4 years was definitely my high school highlight. Being on a very competitive team pushed me to work harder to try and be the best. My favorite part about being on the team was the people I got to play with.”

“Being a part of Leesville soccer was an honor. It taught me what teammates truly are and how much work you need to put in to reach your goals. I learned a lot from my coaches and teammates on and off the field. They helped me grow into the person I am today.”

“Being a letterman has allowed me to compete with all my teammates at matches over the last 4 years and make friends with a bunch of girls on the other teams as well. My favorite thing about golf is that I can spend time focusing and working toward a goal while spending time with friends.”

“I like that I was able to set out and accomplish goals while having a support system of teammates that had my back. Running in high school allowed me to meet some of my best friends and find a passion for something I was good at. My favorite thing about track and cross country were the hard workouts, and knowing I could walk away saying I climbed and conquered a mountain for the day.”

“Half of what made my high school experience so great was track. Being a part of the team gave me friendships, memories, and lessons I couldn’t have received anywhere else. My favorite thing about being on the track team was being able to push myself to new limits with people that support each other.”

“I’ve never thought much about playing on varsity for four years. It was more about playing volleyball and having a good time. I loved getting to meet more people from different graduating classes. My favorite thing about volleyball is it helps my character and fitness level.”

“While I love running, the main reason why I stuck with it for four years is because of all the friends I made. I think the close relationships everyone on the team has with each other helped me avoid the confusion and drama that comes with high school. So the people/social aspect is probably my favorite thing about track.”

“Being a 4-year letterman allowed me to make a lot of friends, and it was a good experience having Coach Dink as my coach all 4 years. I like the competitiveness of soccer and the camaraderie of all the players.”

“The best part of being a 4 year letterman is being able to see the growth in the team, the teams you play, and the coaches. Being on the varsity softball team helped me with my state of mind and gave me something to look forward to when I went to school. My favorite thing about softball is getting goofy with the players on the team in a game, and on the teams we play against. My go-to move is handing players rocks that I find randomly, seeing their faces turn to confusion not knowing what to do with the rock. I love being able to show people that you don’t have to be tense and serious in order to win a game, and that you can have fun while you do it.”

“Being a four year letterman was truly a great experience. The great friendships and bonds made was my favorite part and winning a state championship was the perfect way to top it off. I couldn’t imagine playing without my team and will always remember the fun times I’ve had with this group.”

“My favorite part about track is the great community of coaches, teammates, and parents. Running track for all 4 years of high school was a great experience because I met new people and made new friends through all of high school.”

“I think it’s good to have something to commit to, and in my case it was varsity golf. Being a 4 year letterman, people like me are able to surround themselves with likeminded individuals enabling team growth and personal growth. It gave me a friend group, an extracurricular, and provided challenges. My favorite thing about golf used to be the mental struggle, but as I matured it really became more fun, more about listening to country music and talking with friends.”

“I’m really glad that I was a part of the team all four years. My teammates and coaches really made all of the hard workouts and everything worth it. My favorite parts were the pasta parties, long runs with my teammates, and getting new personal records.”

“I liked being able to contribute to my team all four years of high school. I liked being able to build relationships and friendships with those around me and create a welcoming environment for everyone. I’m glad I got to contribute not only to the athletic aspect of track and XC, but to the social and support aspects as well as the team got closer and we encouraged each other in everything.”

“Being a 4 year letterman definitely made my high school experience better. It was nice having a sport to go to that I could always rely on. I liked being able to play with upperclassmen as a freshmen and gained a lot of experience from that. My favorite thing about volleyball is working as a team, and when you score points and you all come in all excited. Or when you win a game, it’s just all about communicating with your team and spending time with them.”

“Being a 4 year letterman has been one of the best things about my high school experience. I became involved on another level, and I matured more than most freshmen did, being surrounded by upperclassmen. I made friends and learned how to be a teammate with a hard work ethic from a young age. It shaped how I worked and treated others. My favorite thing about lacrosse was the team dynamic and having the sweetest, most fun girls as teammates. My favorite thing about cheer was the football games and how close I became with the girls on the team. We would have fun together while cheering on our school.”
