What happened at Bryson Tiller?

The Bryson Tiller concert was disappointing for students and other fans who were looking forward to seeing him perform.

Majid Jordan, Ty Dolla $ign, and Austin Millz performed for the crowd, while Bryson Tiller’s set was delayed by lightning for several hours.

“I was so upset. There were openers for two hours and then as soon as he was supposed to come on, they tell us we have to evacuate because of lightning in the area,” said Ella Jack, senior.

Tiller was able to go back on only until 11 because of the 11:00 pm curfew and quiet rule; concerts and live music performances at the amphitheater must conclude by 11:00 PM.

“I had to stay because of a friend, but I did end up having a good time when he did come out to perform for those 30 minutes,” said Jack.

For those who couldn’t drive themselves it wasn’t as easy to brush off.

“It was fun getting ready for it, but it felt like a waste of time to drive all the way out there and not even get to see him perform,” said Tori Hay, sophomore.

Those who were in the lawn were forced to evacuate while those under shelter with seats were able to stay where they were when the concert came back on.

“I was looking forward to the concert so it was disappointing when they were telling us we had to evacuate the lawn,” said Brody Paden, senior.

The concert was a disappointment for most people while others were able to make the best out of the delays.
