On August 25, 2026, Leesville Women’s tennis lost to Millbrook 2-7, with Lily Mahoney, sophomore, and Lila Moise, junior, pulled through and won their singles.

The lineup for the match included Maren Hauge at one, Alexis Engleson at two, Isabel Snyder at three, Lila Moise at four, Lily Mahoney at five, and Fiona Snyder at six.

Hauge lost in two sets 1-6, 0-6, and Engelson lost 6-1, 5-7 with a tiebreaker score of 5-10. I. Snyder lost 2-6, 1-6, Moise won 6-4, 6-3. Mahoney won 6-2,7-6, with a tiebreaker score of 7-5, and F. Snyder lost 2-6, 1-6.

The doubles pairing were Hauge and Engleson at one, Snyder and Snyder at two, and Morgan Beasley and Mahoney at three. All three doubles lost.

Moise said, “I’m happy that I had a win so that our team at least got a chance to win doubles. Since me and Lily both won.”

Both Mahoney and Moise gave their team an opportunity to make a comeback and win doubles.

Hauge, junior, said, “I stay positive by just knowing that I didn’t play bad. I played good, and sometimes there’s not much you can do if you played really good, and you tried your best and you didn’t win.”

Despite her loss, Hauge stays positive and knows she played her best.

Hauge said, “I’m actually feeling really confident for the next match against Millbrook because I feel like now that we know exactly what we’re dealing with. I feel like a lot of people and myself can make improvements.”

Leesville Women’s Varsity’s next home match will take place on September 15, 2026.
