As the school year wraps up, everyone finishes their current grade and prepares for the next one.

For me, this year is personally exciting as I finish junior year and look forward to senior year in the fall.

This year has tested me in many ways, but has also given me many exciting opportunities.

If you told August me some of the stuff I have done this year, I would have looked at you and laughed.

Everyone has a different experience in high school and challenges they face.

Natalia Cesky, junior, said, “The first semester was much easier than the second, and I learned that it doesn’t matter how many APs you take. The harder semester can be the ones with the most honors classes… Whatever your strengths are in school, that’s gonna be your easier classes. … I took a lot of newer classes to me in the 2nd semester, like contemporary law and justice and precalc. Those were probably the hardest classes because I actually had to learn new things.”

Everyone has different strengths and weaknesses and that can impact how well you do in school and the classes that are difficult.

This year is particularly exciting because the worst of high school is behind the Class of 2027.

Although we have a lot to do to prepare for the new school year and college applications, for most it will be better than sophomore and junior year.

Senior year is also super exciting as a whole and many juniors are looking forward to it.

Cesky said, “I’m really looking forward to getting a license, getting a car, getting a parking spot. And all the fun things that go with senior year. I’m also excited for my new role. I’m gonna be vice president of the Spanish National Honor Society, and I’m really excited to see how I can impact the club.”

While this year has been very challenging, there is a lot of excitement heading into senior year and what’s ahead.
