The 2026-2027 International Thespian Society Inductions and Banquet takes place on Friday, May 29, 2026. New members will be inducted and current members are honored and appreciated for all their hard work in the Leesville Theatre Department. 

People of all grades can be inducted into ITS by gaining a certain number of points through Theatre participation. Both actors and technicians can earn points by working on shows and putting in the hours to gain points. Once a student has earned enough points, they are eligible to join ITS and are officially welcomed in at Inductions. 

The banquet is full of events and activities to appreciate students involved in the Theatre Department. Awards, scholarships, and senior cords are given out as students walk across the stage in front of friends and family.

The next year’s officers are also inducted at the banquet, and the duties and responsibilities are passed off from the current ITS officers. Both the inducted and previous presidents give speeches to honor the groups they represent. 

The senior slideshow is one of the best parts of the banquet. Seniors in ITS walk the stage to collect their cords while a slideshow plays showing their favorite memory, quote, and childhood picture. The tradition is lighthearted and meaningful as ITS says goodbye to the graduating seniors. 

The ITS Banquet and Induction ceremonies are favored traditions that allow students and parents to appreciate the members. The banquet is open to all members of the Theatre Department and their parents who want to honor the students’ achievements.
