On this Wednesday and Thursday–May 20 and 21, 2026–the LRHS Dance Department will hold its spring concert, dubbed the “LRHS Dance Spring Extravaganza.” The concert will feature 35 pieces across Beginning dance, Proficient dance, and Dance Ensemble. 

Tickets can be found here for Wednesday night, and here for Thursday night. Songs by Michael Jackson, Fleetwood Mac, and Florence + The Machine are featured in the pieces, to name a few. 

Hannah Allen, senior, is in twelve dances across the two performances and choreographed three of those twelve pieces. 

“It’s gonna be a lot, I don’t even know how to process it, but I think it’s very special,” said Allen, who has been a member of Dance Ensemble for the last three years and is also the 2025-2026 NHSDA president. 

This year, there are eighteen seniors graduating from the dance program. On top of it already being sad for the seniors, it’s bittersweet for the underclassmen as well. 

“It makes me sad to think that next year I’ll be a senior, and I’ll be sad to see the seniors go, and watch them do their last dance,” said Mary Bradley Dalton, junior. Dalton has been a part of Dance Ensemble for two years and is in eight total dances across the two performances. 

“This is only my third concert…but I still think it’ll be sad to see the seniors leave,” said Isabel Santana, sophomore. Santana has been in Dance Ensemble for the past year and is in seven dances across the two performances.
