Soccer Senior Night Recap

On Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 6:30 pm the Women’s Varsity Soccer Team took on the Rolesville Rams for Senior Night.

There are six seniors on the team who were all celebrated at half time.

The Pride came away with a 3-0 win with goals from junior Avery Uhron (2) and junior Katie Fuhrer (1).

Getting the win and shutout on Senior Night meant a lot to the team and gives them momentum heading into playoffs.

Two of the seniors will be continuing their soccer journey in college.

Olivia Brown will be playing Division 2 soccer at Mars Hill University, and Madeline Beaver will be playing Division 2 soccer at Chowan University.

Lily Myers is the only four year varsity soccer player, so she has seen what senior night means to many others.

Myers, senior co-captain, said, “It was just really special for me, especially for being on the team for four years, and everyone seeing the emotions, it was really special.”

Sports teams often feel like a family since you spend so much time with them.

Myers said, “The friendships that I’ve made, practicing every day, being with those people every single day for three, four months, you get really close with them. So, I mean, a lot of my best friends have been made through the team.”

Senior night is so meaningful to players as it gives them a chance to be recognized for all they have done and contributed over the years to their sport.

The Pride won the first round of playoffs on Monday against Apex and play tonight, Thursday May 14 at Enloe.
