Important Upcoming Senior Dates

Leesville seniors have a packed schedule of important dates to make note of in the coming few weeks.

On Monday, June 1, seniors must submit all scholarship and military commitment information to Student Services in order to be recognized during the Senior Assembly. However, students are encouraged to turn in the form before the deadline.

A major event for seniors will take place on Wednesday, June 3, with the Senior Meeting and Assembly Rehearsal from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the main gym. Attendance is mandatory for all seniors, this includes late-arrival students as well. During rehearsal, students will practice graduation procedures and receive tickets for the Senior Picnic.

Thursday, June 4, includes several senior traditions. The day begins with Senior Assembly at 8:30 a.m. in the main gym. Families and friends are welcome to attend, no tickets are required for this event. Seniors are required to wear their caps and gowns while accomplishments, scholarships, and military commitments are recognized. Following the assembly, students have the option to participate in the Senior Walk through the entirety of the Leesville campus (elementary, middle, and high school).

After the walk, seniors will head to the stadium for the Senior Picnic, which will include food, games, yearbook signing, and activities such as a photo booth and a 360 video booth. The picnic is only open to seniors, not family members or underclassmen.

That evening, the Senior Sunset will also be held from 7-9 p.m. in the Leesville stadium. Giving the senior class one final chance to celebrate their senior year together.

For the seniors who have to take exams, they will take place on Friday, June 5, and the make-up exam date is on Monday, June 8.

Tuesday, June 9, marks the deadline for all financial and material obligations to be cleared. This includes returning any textbooks, library books, Chromebooks, and Chromebook chargers, and paying any outstanding fees.

On Wednesday, June 10, Leesville will host the Graduation Reception from 5-7 p.m. and distribute eight graduation tickets to each graduate.

Finally, on June 12, at 4 p.m., the Graduation ceremony will take place at the Raleigh Convention Center. Seniors must report by 3 p.m. The ceremony is expected to last around two hours.
