Rising Leesville freshmen recently had the opportunity to explore what Leesville has to offer.
On Wednesday, February 11, 2026 from 6:00-8:00pm, there were school community members present to make this event possible.
Many of Leesville’s clubs and sports teams were present to talk about their involvement and why they enjoy it.
Sports teams were excited to get the opportunity to meet future teammates and talk about the program.
Juan Herrera Sanchez, junior and varsity soccer goalkeeper, said, “I really want the rising freshman to know more about the program because it’s a really nice program, and now that most of us are rising seniors, this is our last season, we need more people to come in and keep building the same program that we’ve been having.”
The open house was a wonderful opportunity for incoming Leesville families to get to learn more about our wonderful community and get involved.
Caroline Murray, Women In Stem Co-President, said, “I think it’s important for them to know all the clubs we have, because when I was a freshman, I didn’t even know Women in Stem Club was a thing until I saw a flyer. It’s better so they can go and see all the clubs and be on the lookout for them next year.”
Teachers were present to answer questions about academics and for families to get a better understanding of class expectations.
There was a great turnout at the event, and many future Leesville families got to walk around and explore all we have to offer.
