Leesville Student’s Plans for Halloweekend

This year Halloween takes place on a Friday and many students have plans for this Halloweekend. Around Halloween, people typically look forward to Halloween parties, trick-or-treating, eating candy, and having lots of fun with their friends and family.

Hannah Holder, senior, plans on attending a cook out Halloween party on Friday night. She said, “I plan on just having fun with my friends, I plan on taking a lot of pictures, making TikToks, and trying to scare my friends the best that I can.”

Holder is dressing up as a character from the game Subway Surfers as well as Snoopy from Charlie Brown. She said, “My favorite part of Halloween is dressing up and the weather, because I feel like it’s just a great atmosphere.”

Other students’ plans include, spending time with family and friends, potential trick-or-treating, dressing up in Halloween costumes, or watching scary movies.

Emma Millan, junior, said, “This weekend I am planning on going trick-or-treating with my family and then I’m going to go to a family friendly party on Saturday.” Millan said her favorite part of Halloween is the overall vibe of the holiday and how it’s the one night everybody can dress up and have fun. Millan said, “I think trick-or-treating is a must-do [activity] and also being with friends.”

It is typical for people, especially teenagers, to hang out and spend time with their friends on Halloween.

Blake Wilson, junior, said, “I have work on Halloween, but [my friends and I are] dressing up and we’re going somewhere on Saturday.” Wilson is dressing up as a blue collared worker for Halloween this year. He says his favorite part of Halloween is hanging out with his friends and considers getting candy to be a must-do activity for Halloween.

Whether you plan on trick-or-treating, attending a Halloween party, watching scary movies, or spending time with family and friends this Halloweekend, remember to be safe and have fun!
