Each year around Halloween, Leesville puts on their annual Hall-O-Ween event hosted by the LRHS Executive Council. Different clubs and honor societies host games and activities, lots of candy is given out, and it is an overall fun experience for all involved.
Aiden Roberts, junior and Executive Council Vice President, said, “I’ll be there. I’ll be making sure that everything’s going well with the clubs, that they’re passing out candy, and [making sure] that everything runs smoothly.”
Roberts explained that the event has done well in previous years and he expects there to be a fairly good turnout this year both from other schools and people around the Leesville area.
Roberts said, “I am most looking forward to just providing a good halloween event for little kids, so if they end up coming to Leesville one day they might be like ‘okay, I remember when this [event] happened when I came here.’”
Clubs and honor societies typically do the same, or similar, games every year and continue to engage the attendees of the Hall-O-Ween event with fun prizes such as candy and treats. The members of the clubs and honor societies help lead these games and encourage everyone to participate.
Lacie Holman, senior, is the Vice President of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA), said, “We usually do some sort of dancing game or kind of like musical spots, not musical chairs but musical spots, to incorporate some dancing and then we hand out all the candy for the winners and just tell them about dance.”
Holman explained that the members each have different time slots of when they help run the activities at the Hall-O-Ween event, so that way all of the members of the honor society are given the chance to participate.
Holman said, “I’m most looking forward to dressing up and seeing all of the kid’s costumes and what the costumes are looking like this year.”
There will also be a haunted house hosted by the LRHS International Thespian Society (ITS) at the same time as the Hall-O-Ween event, but the haunted house is not affiliated as part of the event.
This year’s Hall-O-Ween event will be held on October 30, 2025 at the school from 5:30pm – 7:30pm and will contain candy, music and games. The event is geared towards local elementary school kids that are in 5th grade or younger, but welcomes everyone to join.

It makes my day better when someone compliments me.
