On Tuesday, September 16, 2025, the Walnut Creek Amphitheatre at Coastal Credit Union Music Park was packed with people of all ages for The Lumineers’ biggest ever concert in Raleigh.
“It was the best experience of my life. This is my third time seeing them, and it was so amazing this time around,” said Zoe Rowlette, Senior.
Despite threats of rain and having school the next day, many Leesville students attended the Lumineers concert.
The Lumineers, an alternative folk band active for 20 years, have several hit songs, with over six billion streams on Spotify.
“I was really excited. I was in the top 0.1% of overall listeners on Spotify last year, so I was super pumped,” said Jack Fields, senior.
The band performed songs from many of their albums, with a key focus on their most recent album, Automatic.
“I liked how the singers interacted with the crowd. They were walking up in the crowd and stuff, so it was cool,” said Fields.
Much like Fields, Isabel Snyder, junior, enjoyed the show with her friends.
“I was very excited… my favorite part was definitely my friends,” said Snyder.
Many of those interviewed characterized how important attending with their friends was to their concert experience.
The Lumineers concert was a massive success here in Raleigh, with many LRHS students attending. The folk alternative band’s interactions with the audience helped to add more excitement to the show.

It makes my day better when I’m listening to good music and drinking a nice coffee.
