Everything You Need to Know About the Leesville PSAT

The PSAT is coming up for Leesville students. The test stands for the Preliminary SAT or the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. It prepares students for the SAT and can qualify students who achieve high enough scores for scholarships.

Students will have the option to test on the teacher workday on Monday, October 20, or they will be assigned a test date the week of October 14. These students will most likely take it on Thursday, October 16.

Students who choose to test on the teacher workday must be able to provide their own transportation to and from school.

Wake County encourages all 11 grade students to take the test. Juniors in the top 10%, meaning they have a GPA of 4.4 or higher, can take the test for no cost. For other juniors taking the test, there is a $15.12 test fee, and for 9th and 10th graders, there is a $16.56 fee.

Students must submit the registration form by Thursday, September 18, and payment is due through School Cash Online at noon on Friday, September 19.

On both the pre-administration session and test day, students are required to bring their school issued chromebook and charger.
