Starting this school year, all Wake County Public Schools made the transition from PowerSchool over to Infinite Campus.
In December 2024 there was a major PowerSchool data breach. The breach exposed millions of current and former North Carolina students’ and teachers’ personal information. Some of the leaked data included names, addresses, and social security numbers.
Infinite Campus claims to be “the only all-in-one student information system.” Both parents and students have access to a student’s grades, attendance, schedule, assignments, and other student data. Students can also find their bus route and bus stop within the system.
Lily Myers, senior, said, “Infinite Campus was confusing at first, and it’s still a little confusing, but at least the app actually works well. However, I don’t like the app’s format that much, but maybe it will become easier to navigate once I get used to it.”
Teachers encourage students to download the Campus Student app and for parents to download the Campus Parent app on their phones to make things more accessible.
You can also access Infinite Campus by logging into your WakeID and then clicking the Homebase icon. From there, you select the NCSIS application and it brings you to your Infinite Campus account.
As of now, Wake County will continue to use Infinite Campus in the foreseeable future.
