Teenagers are excited and expectant for GTA 6

After years of waiting, Grand Theft Auto VI is finally going to be released soon, and students at Leesville are very excited. Rockstar Games recently announced that the highly anticipated game is set for release in Autumn 2025, and fans have high hopes.

“I’ve been waiting for GTA VI since GTA V released, I’m not gonna lie.” said DeShawn Davis, senior.

The game’s trailer was released on December 4, 2023, and teased a return to the Vice City, leading many students to wonder about the storylines, new features, and online modes. Some are especially excited about the possibility of customizable characters, a feature hinted at in early leaks and announcements.

“I expect it to be a lot more realistic, [and] the cars to be better,” said Shane Oxenford, junior.

“I feel like they should have more realistic graphics, more guns, more cars, more content to the game. See, most of the storylines have just been about heists and bank robberies, but I feel like the new storyline should be more about maybe invading the army, taking it to higher places, and doing more dangerous stuff,” said Davis.

While expectations are sky-high, students also express some concerns.

“I hope Rockstar doesn’t delay it,” said Adrien Pagan, junior.

The game is set to release on the new consoles, with PC support coming out early 2026. Personally, I’m buying a PlayStation 5 just for the game – that’s how much I love the GTA franchise.

Whether for the storyline, cars, or graphics, one thing is clear: GTA VI is already one of the most awaited releases in the history of video games. Students at Leesville are ready to go out into the streets of Vice City as soon as it releases.
