Leesville Guitar club will perform their first full concert on April 17

On April 17 the Leesville guitar club will perform in their first full concert. It will be in the auditorium at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are six dollars and they can be purchased by scanning the QR code on the fliers scattered around the Leesville hallways.

Last year, the guitar club began performing during both A and B lunches. They attracted large swaths of Loonies with their somewhat-impromptu concerts.

Rowen Tyner, sophomore, said, “Guitar club is a group of musicians that meet after school to learn and refine songs that we then perform for the school. I started playing guitar six years ago and took formal lessons and then started to teach myself any song that I wanted to know,”.

The concert will consist of 17 songs, which the club has chosen to keep secret, and will last around two hours. Tyner added, “I think the concert will turn out great and that it will be received really well due to us practicing all of these songs since November.”

On November 10, they performed a three-song preview, consisting of “Sick” by The Warning, “Animal” by Pearl Jam, and “Reptilia” by The Strokes, during both lunch periods. A large number of students gathered as the club promoted their upcoming concert.
