It is a controversial subject when it comes to when you should start celebrating the December holiday, but in the dance department, the holidays are in full swing!
Join the LRHS dance ensemble for their annual holiday dance concert on Thursday, November 21!
Attendees can expect lots of cheery musical theater, jazz, and contemporary dances performed to their favorite holiday songs!
The Leesville dance team will also perform a special hip-hop number to open the show. They are excited to perform a dance from the football season with a Christmas twist!
Eva Wilson, junior and dance ensemble member, said, “We want you to lift your spirits before the holiday season even starts.”
The proceeds from the show will go towards their class trip to New York City. This is a great opportunity for them to experience dance and performing arts culture on a larger scale. They can participate in master classes and learn valuable techniques and performing skills.
Abby Coughlin, junior, said, “People should come because it is always a good time and it gets people into the holiday spirit, and you can come to support your talented peers.”
Coughlin is excited to perform a musical theater tiro to Alive and the Chipmunks “Don’t be late for Christmas”.
Come out to support our dancers and take part in the holiday cheer! Tickets are five dollars and can be purchased here.
