The rise of Sketch

TheSketchReal is a Twitch streamer who has been the face of social media and memes within the past few months.

He currently has 3,051 active subscribers as of April 11, 2024. As of April 11, 2024, Sketch is the 104th top-grossing streamer.

Along with Twitch subscribers, he has over 680,000 followers on Twitch and 318,000 subscribers on YouTube.

Sketch is notorious for the phrases he uses when playing Madden, such as “Check Tuesday,” “Special teams, special plays, special players,” “What’s up brothers,” and more.

According to a poll conducted by the @lrhsnews Instagram, 62% of respondents are familiar with TheSketchReal.

Sketch primarily streams Madden NFL 24, along with collaboration streams with Jynxzi.

“His Madden streams with Jynxzi are funny. His play calls are stupid, and he plays the game so much and still can’t win,” Aiden Ferguson, senior.

According to Stream Charts, TheSketchReal has been streaming on Twitch since mid-2023 and gained most of its popularity in early 2024. At the start of 2023, he had 6 followers with an average viewer count of 3. As of April 15, 2024, he has 680,000 followers with an average viewer count of 18,000.

Social media is a fan of TheSketchReal for his unique, humorous, engaging, and enjoyable content. You can find funny clips of Sketch all over TikTok and Instagram. On TikTok, the tag #sketch has accumulated 5.8 million posts.

Sketch’s fame has reached the NFL, as he played a scrimmage with the Houston Texans CJ Stroud, Nico Collins, Tank Dell, and Stefon Diggs.

“It’s insane how fast he became popular because he went from nothing to being around celebrities in like three months,” said Eli Nelson, junior.

TheSketchReal has taken the internet by storm and will likely collaborate with the NFL, possibly announcing a draft pick.
