Holiday Volunteer Opportunities

The holiday season is all about giving, and at Leesville Road High School students can find ways to give in many different ways. Through the various clubs and honor societies at the school, there are many holiday themed volunteering opportunities.

Most clubs and honor societies require students to get a certain amount of service hours to join the group. Some require up to fifty hours a school year to stay in the club, making it festive can make it more enjoyable.

Posted on the @leesvillenhs Instagram page, there is a pride pole service opportunity for students to participate in. Bringing in gift cards for service hours is an easy way to fill up your volunteer spreadsheet while simultaneously spreading the holiday spirit.

Aside from volunteering through clubs, there are many gift drives located around Raleigh. Such as the Toys for Tots gift drive and the Fun 4 Raleigh kids gift drive. The Fun 4 Raleigh kids also have many holiday events that everyone can enjoy through a free admission.

As the winter season continues, more clubs will post about volunteer opportunities, such as Key Club, the four different class councils, and the many honor societies. Even if students aren’t in these groups they can still participate in the volunteer opportunities posted as they are always looking for help.
