On June 2, 2026, the LRHS Senior Class Council will host its third annual Senior Kickball tournament. The fairly new tradition started three years ago in 2024.
Seniors may register for the tournament as an individual or as a team of 12-15 players. Teams must be at least 40% girls. Teams must also appoint a team captain to fill out the registration form by May 22nd, and all members must sign/ turn in a waiver to Mrs. Ballew or Ms. Kaur by 2:30 on May 27th.
The team captain and at least two other team members must attend the mandatory rules meeting on either May 26 or May 28 to be eligible to play. There will be a meeting during A and B lunch on both days, so everyone is able to attend.
All the student teams will play in a single elimination tournament until there’s a winning team. Then, each team will nominate one player to represent them in an “All-Star” team that plays a LRHS Staff team.
Nina Sugiyama-Allen, senior, says the tournament is the perfect way to end the school year. “I just like hanging out with my friends. I like hanging out with teachers, and I like goofing off as a senior, and I feel like it hits all the boxes,” said Sugiyama-Allen.
“I’m incredibly excited [for the tournament] since I’m curious which group student or group teacher wins. Furthermore, there will be food,” said Jayden Camilo, senior. Camilo is also the 2026 Senior Class council president, and put a lot of work into making the kickball tournament a reality.
Registration closes on May 22, so sign up now if you want to participate.

It makes my day better when I listen to a good playlist.
